Keith Johnson is an esteemed educator known for his unwavering dedication to student success and community development. He embarked on a career driven by a passion to help others and fostering excellence in learning environments. Beginning as a classroom teacher in 1995, Keith ‘s journey evolved as he assumed leadership roles, including serving as Vice Principal from 2010 – 2018, where he provided invaluable mentorship to staff transitioning into leadership positions.

Since 2018, Keith Johnson has served as a Principal in the TDSB who was recently recognized for his outstanding leadership by receiving the TDSB’s Excellence Award for Combatting Hate and Racism. His focus on equity and holistic development resulted in tangible improvements in student performance and a more inclusive school culture.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Keith is deeply committed to supporting the social and emotional growth of young people through coaching. Keith Johnson’s coaching career spans over three decades, during which he passionately led middle school and high school basketball, soccer, volleyball, and track and field teams from 1991 to 2017. His dedication to developing young athletes extended beyond school settings, as he has coached Brampton House League and Rep Football and Basketball teams for ages 4-18 from 2008. Through his coaching roles, Keith instilled values of teamwork, discipline, and perseverance, leaving a lasting impact on the lives of countless athletes. Among one of his memorable accomplishments was in 2019 where he was the head coach of the Brampton Lady Warriors Major Atom team that won the Jr. NBA International Championship with a fifty-six win and zero loss season!

Keith is eager and excited to join the Harris Brand Foundation board as the Director of Education. The HBF embodies many of the core qualities lived by Keith, both professionally and personally. As a member of the team, Keith will contribute to and strengthen the philanthropic endeavours the Harris Brand Foundation is currently affiliated with and those yet to come
