Gina Miranda graduated from the University of Toronto with a BA and continued her education at the Transformational Arts College of Spiritual and Holistic Training, where she studied Transpersonal Psychotherapy. She has also completed Past-Life and Bardo State Regression therapy certification at the Transformational Arts College. Gina is a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. (www.crpo.com/directory) She founded the Healing Therapy Alliance in 2018 and works in private practice with a focus on complex trauma and mental health issues. She has completed Level 1 and 2 training in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Relational Somatic Psychotherapy, EMDR training with Structural Dissociation, and Deep Brain Reorienting. Her approach is based in neuropsychology and focuses on restoring the body to its pre-traumatized state.

Her personal philosophy is that the mind, body and spirit need to be integrated for us to find peace and she uses this approach to help her clients discover and unify the various parts of themselves into the whole. She uses a variety of modalities to achieve this from traditional talk therapy, EMDR and Sensorimotor psychotherapy, somatic psychotherapy to energy work. She helps her clients track their own patterns, become mindful of their triggers, emotions, and dysfunctional coping skills, and help them integrate and apply healthier behavioural strategies and overcome the issues from the past and present. She teaches them to be more compassionate towards self and others and integrate their new awareness of self and become more consciously responsive.

Gina is passionate about mental health and education and uses her training to offer workshops and talks to various organizations. Gina is joining The Harris Brand because she sees and understands first-hand the impact of mental illness and stress on the developing mind and how that impacts a person’s life choices thereafter if left untreated. She believes in investing in the youth. Helping them to understand themselves better by teaching them coping strategies so that they can build healthy and authentic lives that yield positive outcomes and personal wellbeing.
