DeMarco Harris brings nearly 15 years of professional experience in the insurance industry, having worked in various capacities across the sector. A proud graduate recognized on the Dean’s List, DeMarco has always strived for excellence and integrity in both his professional and personal pursuits.

He is guided by a principle that reflects the close-knit nature of his industry: “Everyone knows someone, somewhere, who can help you in some way.” This philosophy has shaped his approach to relationship-building and mentorship throughout his career.

In 2024, DeMarco was honored as a Spotlighted Member of the Canadian Association of Black Insurance Professionals (C.A.B.I.P.) and was the proud recipient of the inaugural Lyall Bell Scholarship—recognitions that speak to his commitment to excellence, community empowerment, and advocacy for positive change within the industry.

As an Insurance Advisor, DeMarco is passionate about bridging the gap between youth and the vast opportunities within the insurance and financial sectors. Through his role on The Harris Brand Foundation’s Advisory Board, he is dedicated to creating pathways for young people to explore high-growth careers and discover their potential in an industry rich with opportunity.

DeMarco’s dedication to youth engagement began in high school, where he participated in co-op placements, student mentorship, and award-winning youth programs. His longstanding commitment to uplifting the next generation makes him a valuable asset to the Foundation, and he is excited to continue this journey with a team equally devoted to community advancement and sustainable impact.
